PMU Tips( 52)--Hairline Application and Design Principles and Timing and Principles of Eyebrow Touch-Ups

1. Hairline Application and Design Principles
For clients who still have some natural hair or faint remnants of their original hairline, it’s best to position the pigment close to that existing hairline—as long as it hasn’t receded too far. This helps maintain a more authentic and natural outcome.
Rather than creating a sharp, continuous line, the hairline should be designed with a slightly uneven and fragmented pattern to mirror natural hair growth. By using a gentle up-and-down stippling technique, the pigment can appear subtly irregular and softly diffused, which enhances overall realism.
2. Timing and Principles of Eyebrow Touch-Ups
Typically, eyebrow pigments fade toward an ashy tone, which is why it’s important to wait until they’ve faded enough before doing a touch-up. Touching up too early—before they’re around 50% faded—can make the brows appear even grayer.
Allowing them to fade at least halfway creates enough space in the skin for new, warmer, and more vibrant pigment, ensuring a more effective and natural-looking touch-up.
