1. Does a longer stroke mean deeper pigment implantation?

Not necessarily. Needle stroke and implantation depth are two different concepts in PMU. Stroke mainly affects the force, impact, and "snap" of the needle movement rather than directly determining how deep the pigment is implanted.

The actual implantation depth is largely controlled by the artist through technique, hand pressure, machine angle, and needle protrusion.

This means that a longer stroke can still produce superficial implantation, while a shorter stroke can result in deeper implantation if not properly controlled.

2. Does more bleeding mean better pigment retention?

Not necessarily. The amount of bleeding is not a direct indicator of pigment retention.

Excessive trauma can increase skin stress and may negatively affect both healing and the final healed result.

Controlled technique, appropriate pressure, and understanding skin response are often more important than aggressive implantation.

Beautiful, natural-looking results come from precision and control—not from creating more trauma.
